Some people just can’t be satisfied.
Well, it’s official. Super Smash Brothers Brawl is going online. And I’m as giddy as a young schoolgirl over that fact. But that’s not what I’m going to talk about. It’s the problem that people just can’t be satisfied with something so awesome.
In the case of Brawl’s Wi-Fi mode, there are people complaining about a few aspects that are missing. In one case, there is a lack of a ranking system or displaying of names in the game’s “Play with Anyone” mode. This frankly gets me pretty peeved. The boys developing this probably spent thousands of man-hours trying to get this Wi-Fi system working properly…and fans complain about a lack of a RANKING system.
This gets me pretty peeved. I can understand people’s problems with potential lag. It annoys me too…but complaining about a ranking system? Are people THAT obsessed with being the best? I mean, if the biggest accomplishment in your life is becoming the best at playing one video game, one might have to rethink their priorities in life.
I’m just glad that a significant majority of gamers are content with even getting the chance to play against people around the world. And THAT is the market Nintendo is catering to.
I’m not saying they don’t have a right to have problems with it. I just don’t want them whining about it. It annoys the rest of us.
